About Inside out of Lincoln
The story of Inside Out of Lincoln
Ellen and Jo bought and took over the shop in September 2013. They have been friends since 11 years old when they met through a mutual friend at Secondary School. Their friendship has endured many years of changes for both of them.
Ellen went into retail, married and had two lovely girls and eventually came to work at Inside Out. Ellen has degrees in design, which she studied for whilst being a working mum and running a family home. She has the gift of knowing how to dress a shop and has out sourced her skills to other shops.
Jo's life took a very different path. She moved to the Lake District where she worked for outside development companies and eventually World Challenge. After a stint at Cedar House School, she became a Police officer for Hertfordshire Constabulary where she enjoyed a very varied career. Due to injury Jo returned to Lincoln and was visiting Ellen when the idea of buying Inside Out was born.
On 19th September 2013 their idea became reality and they have never looked back. With Ellen's retail expertise, design knowledge, flare for dressing the shop and all round forward thinking attitude they haven't looked back. Jo brings to the table a no nonsense can do attitude and an ability to chat to anyone.
So there you have their story so far. Two strong women, 41 years of friendship, 11 years of owning the business and many more years to look forward to.
